Heir apparent
9:41am Friday 4th July 2008
Heir Hunters (BBC1, 9.15am); Sun, Sea And Bargain Spotting (BBC1, 11.30am); Good Bid, Good Buy (ITV1, 2pm) Daily Cooks Challenge (ITV1, 3pm) EVERY Thursday, the Treasury releases a list of unclaimed estates, left by people who've died without making wills. If there are no heirs, then the government takes it all. A nice little earner, with unclaimed estates of half a million pounds knocking around.

Fall guy
9:50am Thursday 3rd July 2008
Fallout (C4, 10pm); Jess: My New Face (BBC3, 9pm) TIMING is everything, although it's regrettable that C4's Disarming Britain season has become so topical.

Role models
8:31am Tuesday 1st July 2008
Britain's Missing Top Model (BBC3, 8pm); Was Crippen Innocent: Revealed (five, 8pm); Crash Scene Investigators (ITV1, 9pm)

One to watch
9:46am Monday 30th June 2008
Criminal Justice (BBC1, 9pm, until Friday) WAKING up with a hangover after a wild night of drink, drugs and sex is one thing.

Rough justice
8:45am Thursday 26th June 2008
THANKS to his distinctive name and features, not to mention the hugely successful films to his credit, Pete Postlethwaite is one of Britain's most recognisable actors. Warrington-born Pete has appeared in a diverse range of movies and there are few people who haven't watched him in at least one.

Fancy that
9:59am Tuesday 24th June 2008
Extraordinary Animals (C5, 7.30pm); 10 Years Younger (C4, 8pm) PIGEONS are the Marmite of the bird world - you either love them or hate them, the voiceover declares. Pigeon fancier Keith Mott is definitely in the former camp. He describes the birds as the "poor man's racehorse"

The Jaws of the law
8:42am Friday 20th June 2008
Shark (five, 10pm) SHARK is a clichéd, cheesy, and over-the-top American crime drama. It is also absolutely brilliant. Put a craggy divorcee with a penchant for the high life in the role of a cop/lawyer/private detective, who doesn't play by the rules but gets results, and you've got a hit every time. It's old, and it's worn, and it's been done a million times before, but it never, ever fails.

Idol talk
9:43am Thursday 19th June 2008
Euro 2008 - Quarter Finals (7.30pm, ITV1) THE worst thing about England not being in Euro 2008 is you don't watch games in the pub.

Dam good
10:05am Tuesday 17th June 2008
Last of the Dambusters: Revealed (Five, 8pm) WHAT on earth has happened to Channel Five?
