Stocks of the sixth book in my Monstrous Morals series - Day-dreaming Daisy McCloud - arrived today, ready for the launch on Saturday (August 8).
Illustrator Paul Wick and I will be staging a story-writing workshop at Crown Street Library in Darlington town centre between10.30am and 11.30am, followed by two signing sessions. The first is at Waterstone's in the Cornmill Centre in Darlington, between 12 and 2pm and that's followed by another across the town centre at Guru between 2pm and 3pm.
Day-dreaming Daisy McCloud tells the story of a little girl who has her head in the clouds and a cloud in the shape of a skull descends on her school. Every class from then on is monstrous.
The PE lesson features a football match starring a vampire striker who bears an uncanny resemblance to Luis Suarez!
Meanwhile, Wicksy is getting on with illustrating the seventh story in the series. Chilly Billy Winters is about a little lad who won't dress up warm. He'll be in the shops and online by Christmas.
Here's a first look at the early illustrations - Chilly Billy & The Snowmonster, plus the Daisy McCloud front cover and Vampire Luis.
Hope you like them.
