Mouth of the Tees: Patrick Bamford
I’VE heard some funny complaints in my time but we were left open-mouthed in the newsroom by a phone call from a elderly gentleman.
“I’m sick of seeing photos of footballers with their mouths open and showing their tongues – stop putting them in the paper,” he cried before slamming down the phone.
We think it was the picture (above) of Middlesbrough striker Patrick Bamford which tipped him over the edge.
Memo to photographers: Make sure all footballers are tight-lipped from now on or you're in for a tongue-lashing.
