Don't you just love the bubble in which those involved in top-level football exist?

I'm just watching Match of the Day and listening to Alan Shearer eulogising about Frank Lampard.

"Look at his attitude at the age of 35," said Shearer, commenting on the fact that Lampard was tracking back towards the end of the game.

Don't get me wrong - I'm sure Lampard has an excellent attitude. But let's keep it in perspective.

Ok, he's 35, which is relatively long in the tooth in Premier League terms. But he's hardly a pensioner. And he is paid a mind boggling salary.

If he can't have a good attitude in the circumstances, what's the world coming to?

Commentators need to remember that most of us live in the real world.
