STOCKTON'S Brother NRG cycling team registered their 40th win of the season at the weekend.

The junior team headed by Hartlepool’s Will 'Ronnie' Corbett led the team to a clear victory at the Ilkley 2 day, with a substantial two-minute advantage over second place.

Toby Tanfield and Matty Dobbing played a great team role to ensure the team was first team as well.

Alex Luhrs also took a strong victory at York after being in the break with Richard Haughton as the team remain top of the British Cycling UK standings.

Not to be outdone, Middlesbrough’s EDCO Continental were victorious in Scotland with first overall in the Sharon Argue Memorial Road Race for Ellen McDermott, taking the leaders jersey in the Scottish national series too, with Darlington’s Alana Prior fifth overall.

Sarah Walker and Marie Lynn took second and third overall in the hilly prologue and Hannah Brand took the Queen of the Mountains in the Road Race following a superb team performance.
