I'M delighted to announce the official launch of Chilly Billy Winters, the boy who wouldn't wrap up warm - the 7th book in my Monstrous Morals series of children's books.

Chilly Billy refuses to wear his hat, scarf, gloves and vest and he pays the price when he's kidnapped by zombie snowmen and taken to the ice castle of the evil Jack Frost. But don't worry, it all ends happily.

The books, illustrated by Paul Wick, are aimed at primary school children, and the idea is to help parents and grandparents get the message across in a fun way about children's bad habits.

I'll be giving a reading of the new book at at Waterstone's in Darlington at 11.30pm on Saturday, November 26. Then Wicksy and I will be signing copies in the store between 12 and 2pm.

My mum, 85, is busily knitting Chilly Billy Winters scarves for the first six children in the queue and there'll be chocolate snowballs for everyone who wants one.

We'll nip across the Guru to sign more books afterwards so please come and say hello on the day. You're guaranteed a nice, warm welcome!
