EXAM grades – what do they matter? Not as much as you think.
Many congratulations to all those who got good grades yesterday. Enjoy it. You’ve worked, you’ve earned, it, good luck in what you do next. Most importantly, you’ve given yourself more options.
But if you’ve missed your grades, don’t panic. There are other ways… Exams, though clearly useful, really aren’t everything.
Even the headmaster of Eton said recently that our current exam system is outdated and archaic as it does little to measure a student’s full abilities or produce rounded characters. So if you haven’t got brilliant A-level results to prove how good you are, you’ll just have to find another way. It might be more interesting, might suit you better and could even be more fun.
After the next few weeks, honestly, no one for the rest of your life will care whether you got an A or an E. Especially you.
