All Star Mr & Mrs (ITV, 8pm)

YES, I know some will hear a signature tune like the sound of a barrel-bottom being scraped when this show hits our screens, but many enjoy a good old celebrity argument about loading the dishwasher, walking the dog and annoying habits. Phillip Schofield is now at the helm as the rich and famous bicker about anything and everything it seems.

Former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and his wife apparently have full-blown arguments about dumping that space-consuming one-time-used wedding gown (although their marriage has withstood the quarrels, so there's hope for us). Actress Sian Reeves even joked that she and her partner fell out of love after appearing on the show. The incentive for three couples in each episode to start revealing their darkest marital secrets is the chance to win £30,000 for their chosen charity. At least the losing couples get £5,000 each for their charity, and all those taking part earn a sought-after Mr & Mrs carriage clock to show off on their mantelpiece.

The show first aired many moons ago in 1968 with Alan Taylor and Norman Vaughan as hosts.. It was brought back in 1999, hosted by Julian Clary, and again in 2008, with Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton smirking over some celebrity stumbles.

Over the next eight weeks, Johnny Vegas, ex-Westlifer and I'm a Celebrity champ Kian Egan, and Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh will be competing. Tonight former Baywatch star and all-round media magnet David Hasselhoff and his partner Hayley, presenter Amanda Lamb and her hubby Sean, and singer Brian McFadden and his model wife Vogue are about to discover if they really do know each other as well as they think

One Born Every Minute (C4, 9pm)

CALL The Midwife has a lot to answer for. The real life drama of birth is back with Bristol's Southmead Hospital, home to the West Country's busiest maternity unit, showing us the rare sight of fourth generation twins.

Thirty-five-year-old Mel has an identical sibling, her father is a twin and so is her grandmother, and now she's pregnant with two babies herself. Now Mel must decide whether her husband, Chris, or sister, Cheryl, will be her birthing partner – and quickly too, because her waters have already broken.

Commando: Return to the Frontline (ITV, 10.35pm)

IN 2007, anthropologist and adventurer Chris Terrill directed Commando: On the Front Line, which charted the year he spent alongside the Royal Marine Commandos. Shown over eight episodes, it followed 50 raw recruits as they went through eight months of hardcore training before embarking on their first tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Now Terrill is returning to the war-torn country, and once again will be accompanied by Bertie Kerr, an officer who was seen leading his men into an attack on an enemy stronghold in the first film. Now, he's battle-hardened and has lost two men since we last saw him.

He and Terrill want to know if when British American troops pull out at the end of the year, they will be leaving the nation in a better state than when they first arrived.
