WITH the rapid growth of social media, I've tried to use Twitter as a way of engaging more with readers.
And they appear to enjoy getting an insight into the decisions that are made and the way the paper comes together each night.
Headlines suggested by Twitter followers are now being used on some occasions in the paper and I'm increasingly finding that content is being influenced by what readers say.
Each night, I've been tweeting the completed front page and it's been getting a good reaction.
So tonight, as an experiment, I'm going to be tweeting the front page in stages - from start to finish.
Tomorrow morning's paper will reflect the significance of what may well be Darlington Football Club's final game after 128 years.
The front page is due to be finished by around 10pm tonight and its formative stages can already be viewed on my Twitter page.
I hope people find it interesting.
