Oh dear, one look at the morning papers and we might as well as start the day with a collective sigh of despair.
Our honourable Members of Parliament are having to pay back £1m in expenses, including Darlington MP Alan Milburn who's had to write a cheque for £11,000.
The Times depicts Westminster as a crooked skyline and the Daily Telegraph's headline is "This rotten Parliament". Ouch.
Then we have yet more allegations about England captain John Terry, along with the revelation that Premier League manager Avram Grant visited a brothel.
If that wasn't depressing enough, the Daily Express leads on more snow and temperatures of -12 on the way.
And, to cap it all, the Daily Star reports that Jordan & Alex are going to adopt a baby from Haiti.
I think I'll go and lie down in a darkened room.
