Morning Readers! How are we all this week? I have to say I've had a cracking two weeks where I have lost 6lb in total bringing my weight loss up to 6st 2lb.

I think the better weather has been helping though. It makes salads much more enjoyable. It could have been too easy to reach for the ice cream but I have resisted. When we think about having something that we know could throw us off track, we need to ask ourselves, "Will this really taste as good as the success of getting to our target weight?"

I'll be honest and say for me, sometimes the answer is yes but most of the time it's a resounding "No!"

Try asking yourself next time you reach for a 99 ice cream cornet or that extra creamy magnum. Step away from them as they're really not worth it.

As the saying goes, "A moment on the lips, is a lifetime on the hips!"

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have someone jump out on us shouting at us to step away from the naughties every time we were tempted.

What meals have you been enjoying during all this hot weather?

My Husband and I have been enjoying the strawberries and cream recipe that I told you about in an earlier blog. Instead of using cream, we use either the Total 0% fat free Greek Yogurt or a tub of Quark.

We mix some vanilla essence and sweetener into it and serve it with the strawberries. You can also crumble a meringue nest into the cream mix for a fantastic healthy version of Eton Mess. It also tastes divine.

Banana Split
(Serves 1)

Ingredients
1 Banana
1 pot of Vanilla Muller Light Yogurt
Other berries can be added if wanted.

Method

1. Open the pot of yogurt and mix well.

2. Leave in the pot and place in the freezer.

3. Every half an hour or so give the yogurt a quick beat then place back in the freezer until it's fully set.

4. Split the banana in half and add the set Muller light yogurt and berries You now have a fantastic syn free dessert.

You could try the different flavours of yogurt for a different tasting ice cream too.

Have a great week and hopefully I'll see you lighter next week, Love Wendy xxx
