Morning Readers! Firstly can apologise that there was no blog last week. Unfortunately, I've been in bed for the past week with full blown flu and wasn't in any fit state to write my name let alone my blog.

I'm still not well as I have a chest infection and am having to take antibiotics, but I need to keep going and this week I'm combining the two weeks into one blog. I was starting to feel unwell last week but still went to weigh in.

I was really pleased as I'd lost 4.5lb. Not only did I have a great weight loss but I also got my Bronze Award for my Body Magic. With Slimming World, they encourage you to get active if you can. To achieve the bronze award you have to do at least 45 minutes a week with a minimum of 3 days. This has to be continued for 4 weeks to achieve the award.

All I did to gain my bronze award was use the bottom step on my stairs. By holding onto the handrail, I was able to do step ups. With the rail being there, I was less likely to fall as it was something steady to hold on to.

It really isn't as hard as it seems. Also, by having your favourite music playing in the background, it tends to give you motivation but it also helps the time to pass. It's been a great start for me and even if I only ever achieve my Bronze Award, it's still a step in the right direction.

After weigh in last week, I felt really poorly and exhausted. I had the sniffles but was starting to ache all over. Even my gums and teeth were aching.

By that evening, I was in bed by 7:30pm with 2 hot water bottles and 2 duvets on. I was freezing cold and I had a temperature.

The next day I couldn't get out of bed and I felt like death warmed up.

On the Friday i was coughing and barking but my chest sounded terrible. I got an appointment with the duty doctor who said I had a chest infection. I went home and got straight back into bed. I haven't been eating properly. I've skipped meals as I just couldn't face eating anything.

I have also been unable to keep up with the Body Magic as I felt so rough.

Unfortunately, this showed when I went to weigh in this week. I gained 5lb so am very disappointed with myself.

It's so hard when you just don't feel like eating anything and I know I haven't been drinking enough either as I've slept most of the week. Still, onward and upwards this week. I will lose next week.
