It is almost impossible to think of an issue where collaborative working couldn’t lead to a more effective response to improving people’s short and long term prospects. So why should it be any different when it comes to national government?
Collaborative working is fundamentally necessary if meaningful results are to be achieved - both locally and nationally. So let's give this new government a chance, start thinking positively, encourage the media to use their influence to bring the country together and get behind the new Coalition, rather than work against it.
We are obviously a disillusioned nation in terms of politics, but if we don't give them the opportunity to solve the current financial crisis then we will only make matters worse.
It's good to see two parties working together rather than being at each other's throats for a change. Fingers crossed that it remains like this but continuously provoking acrimony is not helpful or responsible.
