WE are grandparents five times over, and we love and are very proud of all our offspring.
We have just been reading about that wonderful young man, James Cummings, who ran to help the young mother and her son, who were involved in that tragic accident in Darlington on May 6 (Echo, May 21).
We would be very proud if he was our grandson. We are just two ordinary people who would like to say “thank you James,” and thank the other people who assisted at the scene, and also send condolences to Shantelle’s family.
When you look around you realise that all is not bad in the world.
David and Carole Craggs, Darlington
