DURHAM County Council have recently announced that there is a planning application for 110 new houses on the site of the old dog track besides the Daisy field in Spennymoor.
This is getting ridiculous. There is already an outstanding application for more than 300 new houses at Middlestone Moor.
Durham County Council has to turn down this application if they have the slightest concern for the people of Spennymoor.
Are we talking to ourselves when the people of Spennymoor say that the do not want any more new houses until there has been considerable investment in the local infrastructure such as roads, schools and medical services etc?
The fact is, is that the local infrastructure is close to collapse. What do the people of Spennymoor have to do to be heard?
