MY memories of Elvis are like a double edged sword.

I was in Durham with my mother 40 years ago, when I heard the devastating news (that Elvis had died) I cried. In 2004 I visited Graceland and along with many others by his grave, emotion took over I cried again.

Then in January 2016 while filming for (documentary) Bopper & Me I stood outside Graceland’s main gates with my banner waving shouting and smiling.

I had written and recorded a song in Houston and a DJ friend of Scotty Moor (Elvis’ best buddy) played it on the Memphis airwaves that covered all of Texas and I smiled like the Cheshire Cat.

At first I was Crying in the Chapel but I ended up All Shook Up.
