WHILE I have every sympathy for the people who were so badly affected by the recent Grenfell Tower fire, I cannot see why this type of Government assistance was not forthcoming when floods were affecting the country.
In the main, the people affected by flooding were left to fight it out with insurance companies. There were no state of the art penthouses for them, and I don’t remember any protest marches on their behalf.
