DO we really have to have loud, rubbishy music playing in almost every shop and petrol station we go into?

Recently in a large supermarket I was being helped to download photos from my mobile by a member of staff and had to ask for the music to be turned down as I couldn’t hear or be heard.

Even in the doctors’ waiting room this music is played, albeit much more quietly.

Workers doing jobs outdoors or indoors always have to have a grubby little radio playing this ghastly drivel non-stop, and cars whizz past with music playing louder than a Salvation Army Band.

Please spare a thought for those of us who dislike this – and in most cases, the inevitable ensuing headaches.
