UNBELIEVABLY we all awoke to a horrific out of control blazing fire, not seen since the likes of the Blitz.
During the £9m sow’s ear to silk purse renovation did no one ever think “let’s put a sprinkler system in with large water storage vats on the roof” instead of cramming more flats in?
With the addition of the insulation that had been added, hindering the fire service who were trying to quench the flames and evacuate some of those poor souls trapped inside their burning homes, I wonder if those multi million pound One Hyde Park apartments in Knightsbridge have a sprinkler system?
Of course they have to protect their multi-million or even billionaire residents, of whom 90 per cent don’t even live there.
Life is cheap (if you’re not a millionaire). If people aren’t being murdered on our streets they are being burnt to death in their own homes.
In 2017 it’s disgusting.

HOW very sad to see on our televisions the tragedy of the Kensington towering inferno, a 24 storey building going up in flames in the early hours of June 14.
The latest count (at the time of writing this) was 17 dead and many more injured.
It appears after a recent multi million pound refurbishment these Grenfell Tower flats went up like a tinder box.
The Government has sent out an instruction to check similar buildings for any similar life threatening shortcomings.
One only has to walk a short distance in our neck of the woods to see high rise flats that hopefully would not fall victim to the horrific fire in London.
Landlords should be making sure that their properties are not fire traps and take the necessary precautions to protect their tenants.
Have we not reached a point were all new builds should also incorporate sprinklers?
