DARLINGTON Football Club is to be congratulated for responding in the right way following the death of a man who played a key role in saving the Quakers.
We said yesterday that the role of the club’s former administrator, Harvey Madden, should not be underestimated, and the club has promptly announced that there will be a minute’s applause at the next home game.
Mr Madden would be been both humbled and honoured to know he was held in such high regard by Darlington fans.
