JUST in time for Valentine's Day, Saltburn's new interiors store LillianDaph has become the permanent home to a florist with a difference. Jenni Di'Niro, of Ruffled Wren, is a local girl returning to her hometown after years spent in the South.

"For as long as I can remember, it has been my dream to move home and have a florists of my own in this beautiful seaside town. I'm still in shock that this is really happening," she says.

Jenni met Christina, creative director of LillianDaph, at Saltburn's popular food festival last summer, where they instantly hit it off and discussed the possibility of combining their passions.

Proving her dedication, with a house move and two young children in tow, Jenni joined Christina's creative journey as soon as she landed on her home turf. "We've been working together for only three months, yet it already feels like we're on to something special," says Christina. "The launch of Jen's den is really just the beginning. We are working hard to create a one-off experience, as much as a shopping destination. We encourage our community – the girl's don't' refer to their shoppers as customers – to visit us, even if it's for a bit of inspiration or for advice."

"We want people to feel inspired with the spaces we create and the products and services we offer," adds Jen. "This is not just about creating somewhere to buy nice things and flowers. It's so much more than that. We want to get to know our community and show people how subtle changes in the use of flowers, foliage and interior decoration can positively impact your lifestyle. It's all about a lifestyle choice."

The creative collaborators are keeping their next move shtum, but encourage you to pay them a visit if you haven't already. "New stock is arriving daily so it never gets boring," says Christina. "It's the season we spend a lot of time in our homes, so it's always good to give them a little tlc, even if it's as little as a spritz of a hand-made Californian room spray."

As for Ruffled Wren, she has something sweetly sentimental up her sleeve for Valentine's Day. The florist will be open the same hours as LillianDaph, providing a hand-tie pick up bar Mondays and Tuesdays, closed Wednesday, and Jenni herself will be in store with seasonal blooms, foliage and potted plants Thursday to Sunday.
