Boy Jumps Ship's Newcastle celebration

The event celebrates a successful year for the quartet, who have also released a special acoustic version of their song Burn.

Burn, the lead single of their debut album Wake Up, received it's premiere on Daniel P Carter's Radio 1 Rock Show, and reached number ten in the Kerrang! rock chart, and was also added to MTV's Rock Playlist. Frontman Si Todd says: "Burn is one of our favourite Boy Jumps Ship songs to date. When it came to creating an acoustic version of the track, we wanted to push it into a totally new direction. Sonically, it wouldn't sound out of place on a Sons of Anarchy soundtrack, which is completely new territory for us. We really wanted to show off a different side to our band and we're really pleased with how it turned out. We're excited for people to hear this version."

After the Newcastle show, Boy Jumps Ship will embark on a UK tour supporting Area 11 from December 12 to 17, finishing at Thekla in Bristol.
