Katie Coleman's December dates
DARLINGTON born songstress Katie Coleman is Teessider James Arthur’s official support act for his December tour, hitting three sold out shows in London (Koko), Birmingham (Institute) and Manchester (Ritz) and she is also preparing to officially release her new track Illusion.
Produced by Toby Scott of Xenomania (Little Mix/Jessy J) the track showcases a slick pop production with a big hook chorus you can dance to, all set off with a strong smooth vocal. Over the past 18 months, Coleman has been busy writing new material with the likes of Josh JT Thompson (B-Unique, Joel Compass, Rita Ora), Daecolm (Sony/ATV, Chris Brown), Sam Eyes (Elle Exxe, Twin Pines) and good friend Mark Thompson.
The 22-year-old London-based artist has been writing, gigging and singing since they age of ten and has recently performed shows for the likes of 1883 Magazines and Estrella Galicia’s along with her recently-filmed Sofar Sounds Sessions going live end of this month. With next year's plans taking shape she’s also excited about being the featured artist on Danny Dove and Offset's cover of hit track It's Over Now due for release through the brilliant dance label Armada Deep records, early next year.
Coleman has also played numerous shows for the likes of London Fashion week (Soho House), Teenage Cancer Trust, The Groucho Club, Jazz Café, Proud and festivals Great Escape and Cornbury Music. She’s also shared stages with Nothing But Thieves, James Bay, Mel C, Rumer, Dynamo,Alex Zane and had her work played on Chris Hawkins 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio.
