RIVERSIDE Live is giving disappointed Down To The Woods ticket holders the opportunity to still take in a music festival in County Durham this summer.

After the August event at Hardwick Hall was sadly cancelled last week, Riverside Live organisers Stanley Events are now offering those who were planning on attending the chance to come and see Lee “Scratch” Perry, Craig Charles, The Undertones, The Ordinary Boys and much more for special discounted rate.

Anyone who emails info@stanleyevents.co.uk with their Down To The Woods booking reference, or a photo of their ticket, will be a given a code valid for a £5 discount on Riverside Live tickets, which cost £30 at standard price.

Riverside Live festival takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Chester-le-Street’s Riverside Park, on Bank Holiday Sunday, the 28th of August.

Dub reggae legend Perry – who has worked with Bob Marley, the Beastie Boys, Max Romeo, and many others – will be performing his 1976 masterpiece album Super Ape in full at the festival. Before Perry’s performance, Craig Charles – now a world-renowned DJ – will be bringing his Funk & Soul Club along to really get the party started. He’ll have his trunk of funk with him for a night of pure dancefloor stomping.

Joining them on the bill is an eclectic lineup of acts and DJs that includes punk pioneers The Undertones, indie-mods The Ordinary Boys, India’s finest ska band The Ska Vengers, Beth Macari, 100% Overproof, plus more acts to be confirmed.

There will also be a second stage, featuring the best in local talent, the full lineup of which will be announced imminently.

Last week, Stanley Events announced that early-bird Riverside Live festival ticket purchasers could be in for an extra special treat. Everyone who buys a regular priced ticket for the festival before midnight on 4th July will be added into a draw to win a VIP upgrade for them and three of their friends.

The exclusive VIP package will include a bottle of Prosecco on ice, a VIP cocktail for each group member, and £20 worth of drinks’ vouchers.

Regular tickets for Riverside Live 2016 are now on sale, via riversidelive.org, priced at £30 in advance, plus booking fee. Tickets bought on the day of the festival will be priced at a higher rate.
