Stand-ups ready for Hartlepool's Hot Potato

HARTLEPOOL’S ever-popular Hot Potato Comedy Club has a new Saturday night season oat the Town Hall Theatre, on Raby Road.

The comedy nights kick off on February 27, at 8pm, with Matt Reed hosting Andy Robinson, Larry Dean and Amy Gledhill.

Peter Vincent of promoters Ten Feet Tall says: “We have some absolutely belting nights coming up here with our new season, and we can’t wait to get cracking. Matt Reed gets us off to a flying start in February, and he has a great line-up to play with.

“Andy Robinson is a real legend on the circuit and a popular support for the likes of Jo Brand, Sean Lock and Rich Hall. Larry Dean was nominated as best newcomer at Edinburgh last summer and has already supported Eddie Izzard on tour.

“March sees Seymour Mace and Geoff Norcott coming to town. Seymour is a proper genius and was nominated for the big award up at Edinburgh last year, while Geoff has supported Sarah Millican and was a YouTube smash with Rory Mcilroy not so long back. (two million views in the first five days)."

March 26: Danny McLoughlin hosts a line-up of Seymour Mace, Geoff Norcott and Simon Wozniak. 8pm.

April 30: Andrew Bird, Jamali Maddix, Julian Lee and guest MC tbc. 8pm.
