Tenors Unlimited seek Stockton choir
TENORS Unlimited, the Rat Pack of Opera, have launched a competition to find a Stockton choir to perform on stage with them at Billingham Forum Theatre, on Saturday, April 24t, at 7.30pm, as part of nationwide tour called From Venice to Vegas.
Jem Sharples from Tenors Unlimited says: “The choir can be any age group. We’d like to encourage school and youth choirs to enter our competition. The choir should just love singing, can be one sex or mixed, sing their favourite song or two and be junior, senior and/or adult – we may choose more than one choir. Best of luck and we look forward to some great singing.”
To Enter, choirs should upload a video of themselves singing one or two of their favourite songs to YouTube (but set it as private) and email the link to contact@tenorsunlimited.com so that Scott, Jem and Paul can view it. This will not be shared with any third parties. The closing date is Friday, February 19.
Tenors Unlimited’s repertoire includes the popular classics such as La Donna E Mobile, The Pearl Fishers Duet and Nessun Dorma, interspersed with crooner and pop favourites such as Volare, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and Summertime, as well as songs written by the singers themselves, which include Senza di Te, a track from their current album The Journey, as well as the title tracks to their previous albums Brand New Day and Viva La Vita.
