Carla returns home in Coronation street (ITV), but is far from happy. She confides in Michelle how guilty she feels about her fling with Robert – which Johnny overhears.

He immediately confronts the amorous chef and warns him to stay away from his daughter, an intervention that goes down like a lead balloon with all involved. Johnny then misses an important dinner party with the O'Driscolls, and it's up to Aidan to save the day – although it's Eva who makes the biggest impression during a rousing evening of karaoke.

Jenny's return to Weatherfield is far from plain-sailing, although she does land a job as a cleaner at the factory. However, when Jack wanders over to speak to her, everyone jumps to the conclusion that she tried to kidnap him again, leaving her wondering if a move elsewhere might be wise.

Meanwhile, Mary finally ventures out of No 7, Simon appears to be making progress, and Fiz and Tyrone continue to suffer financial woes.

A furious Chas throws Aaron out of the house in Emmerdale after he accuses her of still seeing Gordon, but her anger turns to concern when Cain admits he caught his nephew self-harming.

The worried mum initially blames Robert, who tells her that she needs to have a serious talk with Aaron. So, Chas arranges a trip to the seaside, where her son finally opens up about the sex abuse he suffered at his father's hands. But how will Gordon react when Chas confronts him about the accusations?

Elsewhere, Emma continues to scheme against the Dingles as she feigns surprise that Noah has gone missing, before visiting Charity behind bars in a bid to get Ross' name on Moses' birth certificate. Moira also calls in at the prison, ready to lay down some ground rules ahead of Charity's release, but is wrong-footed to discover that jailbird is very up-to-date with events in the village.

Jimmy is touched when Nicola offers to quit work to look after the kids, Kirin struggles with the demands of parenthood, and Pollard looks for a solution to his money troubles.
