South Shields Laffalang tickets on sale

STARS of the North-East comedy circuit are joining the Laffalang gang this Christmas to raise money for a breast cancer charity at the Westovian Theatre, in South Shields.

Stand-up favourite Steffen Peddie will be compere at the "one-show only", star-studded extravaganza that will feature Jason Cook, Mike Milligan, Mickey Hutton and musical comedian Josh Daniels. Also, joining the Yuletide Laffalang mayhem will be Maxie Peters, who is performing as the dame at the Tyne Theatre pantomime, in Newcastle.

The fun will involve Christmas sketches featuring the Laffalang gang, including Bob Stott, alias Dame Dotty.

"Having another dame on stage is something I'm not happy about," says Dame Dotty. "There might be one dame too many, if you catch my drift."

Gareth Hunter, Laffalang producer, says: "We were delighted when everyone said they would do the show. This is a particularly busy time of year for comedians and we can't thank them enough. Not only will people get a great laugh, they will be contributing towards a fantastic cause. Given the incredible talent on show and the fact that Laffalangs always overrun due to the laughter, we are starting this show at 7pm."

All profits will go to Breast Cancer Now, a charity that holds bucket collection after Laffalang shows in South Shields.

* The Christmas 2015 Laffalang takes place on Monday, December 14, at the Westovian Theatre, Ocean Road, South Shields, NE33 2JS (opposite the new Haven Point sports centre). Tickets are £11 and available from the Visitor Information Centre in Haven Point Sports Centre. Telephone: 0191-4247788.
