IT’S not just wine that gets better with age.

Supergroup the Dead Daisies are proof that there’s no substitute for experience and with the release of their new album Revolucion they put the rock back in a rocking good time.

The album title was influenced by the band’s trip to Cuba and features bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake), keyboard player Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses), guitarist David Lowy (MINK, Red Phoenix), lead guitarist Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses/The Psychedelic Furs), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe /RATT) and drummer Jackie Barnes (Tin Lids/Jimmy Barnes) - the son of Scottish born Australian singer Jimmy Barnes.

Corabi’s vocals more than hold their own against the wailing guitars and pounding bass and drum beats and while it may be 2015, this is very much classic 70s and 80s rock.

If your foot isn’t tapping by the second bar of the first song then I suggest you check your pulse – you may very well be dead.

The album is out on June 1 and the band play the Download Festival on June 14.
