WHETHER she is spitting out lyrics like a Gatling gun or whispering words in hushed tones, Becca MacIntyre certainly makes an impression.

This debut album from Becca, her brothers Sam and Josh and fellow siblings Jack and Will Bottomley, has periods of intensity followed by moments of mellowness, but at all times keeps the listener’s attentions.

Already tipped for big things, Marmozets combine complex song structure, with well thought out lyrics, while all the time remaining accessible.

An first offering that impresses on many levels.

Catch them at Newcastle O2 Academy 2 on October 14.
