Being able to perform live on TV every week

You worked very closely with your mentor and fellow Geordie, Cheryl Cole – can you tell us what her encouragement meant to you?

We got on very well, she was lovely.

Pop, classical and opera, you’ve mastered them all – which is your favourite genre and why?

I enjoy them all to be honest and enjoy including them in all my shows

You sang There’s A Place for Us for Walt Disney’s blockbuster film, Narnia – how did that come about?

I was asked to be part of the film, it was a huge honour and I loved the film!

Who is your musical hero and why?

I love Michael Jackson and Beyonce, performers who put on a big show.

What’s your favourite High Street clothes shop?

I love Topman and Zara

Can you share a childhood memory from your growing up years in South Shields?

Just being down the beach every weekend with family and friends

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Probably appearing on The Jump TV show, that was intense!

What’s next after the tour?

Recording and getting my new album together.
