Andy Fairweather Low...

the founding member of Amen Corner, Welsh guitarist Andy Fairweather Low, right, won’t need much introduction to fans of the 1960s. Songs like If Paradise Was Half as Nice, Bend Me Shake Me and Wide Eyed and Legless, made him a firm favourite with the jukebox generation.

In his middle years Low toured with Roger Waters and Bill Whyman’s Rhythm Kings, eventually joining Eric Clapton’s band to record Clapton’s Unplugged concerts, where he stayed until 2003.

In 2008, Low released his first solo album in 26 years, Sweet Soulful Music. The current band, the Lowriders, is a who’s who of the best players on the rock scene. Joining him on drums is Paul Beavis (Thea Gilmore, Robbie Macintosh & Sunday All Over The World), on sax and clarinet is Nick Pentelow (Roy Wood and Leo Sayer), and on bass is Dave Bronze (Clapton, Roger Daltrey, Paul McCartney and Bryan Ferry).
