MORE than 50 music-loving volunteers are being sought by a charity to help with its fund raising.

Child Bereavement UK wants volunteers to sign up to four hour shifts at the Let’s Rock retro festival at Sunderland’s Herrington Country Park on June 9.

The charity is an official partner of the festival which will feature performances from Kim Wilde, Tony Hadley and Go West, among others.

Volunteers will sell wristbands and raffle tickets on the day and also gain entry to the festival for free.

Child Bereavement UK supports families when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child faces bereavement.

It also trains professionals such as doctors, teachers and midwives to help them better understand the needs of grieving families.

Ruth Sanger, regional fundraising and communications manager, said: “Last year we raised more than £60,000 at Let’s Rock festivals across the UK and we couldn’t have done this without the support of our wonderful volunteers.”

To sign up as a volunteer e-mail femke.bekker@childbereavementuk.org or call 01494 568932.

Let’s Rock North East will be taking place on Saturday 9th June at Herrington Country Park, Sunderland and Child Bereavement UK is fortunate enough to be the beneficiary charity.

We are looking to recruit 50+ volunteers to help raise funds and awareness on the day, selling wristbands and raffle tickets, and in return, volunteers can enjoy the festival for free.
