AS a female guitar prodigy, Chantel was told by a major label that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!"

Wisely she ignored their comments, and instead enrolled at the Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100 per cent pass mark at BTEC, with 18 distinctions.

On Friday, February 23, Chantel returns to the Forum Music Centre in Darlington for the fifth time, with a vengeance with new songs that not only salute contemporary rock, but show her gradual transition from conventional Blues to a harder, bigger and bolder rock sound with progressive influences.

Support band is from North Yorkshire's  Emma Wilson Band.

Blues and Soul singer, Emma Wilson has a dynamic and powerful voice with influences that include Aretha Franklin and Ann Peebles.

Emma was invited to sing at "An Evening For Jack" a tribute to British Rock icon Jack Bruce at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

The concert was directed by Pete Brown (Jack’s song-writing partner), & Malcolm Bruce (Jack’s son), to celebrate the life and music of ex-Cream bass player Jack Bruce.

Emma now fronts her own band featuring guitarist Al Harrington, and is known for an entertaining, vibrant, and full-on performance!
