‘TIS the season! It’s the Christmas special this month at Catch 22, and to get you in the festive spirit – they’ve bagged another seriously strong line-up.

Catch 22 maestro Matt Reed hosts the show with Pierre Novellie, Chris McCausland and Simon Lomas each taking it turns to deliver the comedy-goods.

Matt’s unique, solo show Junk Box sold-out not once, but twice. With another show in the pipeline in the New Year, Matt has definitely proven his worth as a master of improv (as if anyone needed any proof!).

Observational comic Pierre Novellie is a South African from the Isle of Man who lives in London. Pierre has been nominated for the Best Club Comedian two years in a row by the leading comedy website Chortle. As well as being a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, Pierre is an in demand writer too; his credits include Adam Buxton’s Shed of Christmas and Mock the Week.

Like most comics, Chris McCausland discovered stand-up when he was signed off work with the shingles. Since then, he hasn’t turned back. Not only did Chris become a successful stand-up comedian, he’s an actor too. His acting career has seen him star alongside Miranda Hart in Unwrapped, or you might recognise him from his lead role in the BBC1 Jimmy McGovern drama Moving On.

Smashing new talent competitions across the country, including reaching the final of Catch 22’s very own Beat the Gong, English Comedian of The Year finalist Simon Lomas makes a very welcome return to the ARC stage.
