The spring toy fair is back at Locomotion. The ever-popular toy fair will play host to an abundance of stalls and traders selling everything from steam trains to superheroes!

Orchid Show, Raby Castle, Staindrop on this weekend, 11-5pm
The Annual Orchid Show at Raby Castle, will feature a spectacular display of beautiful Orchids including exotic hybrid species.
Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to the experts, attend lectures and demonstrations for advice on how to make the most of their orchids.
The North East of England and Darlington Orchid Societies will be in attendance with a wonderful display, as well as orchid growers and sellers from around England and Europe. 01833-660202.

May Day Celebrations, Beamish Open Air Museum, Stanley, on Sunday/Monday
Visitors can have a go at traditional Maypole dancing throughout the day in The Pit Village, with musical accompaniment Benny Graham from The Pitmen Poets.
The important crowning of the May Day King and Queen will take place, can your little one claim the coveted title? Visitors can also make a May Day mask in The Pit Village school, the more creative the better.
Plus we need your help to decorate the special May Day cart before the event. Clog and rapper dancers will put on a fantastic show and there’ll be the chance to learn about traditional May Day activities up at Pockerley Old Hall. 0191-370 4000.
Springtime Live 2017, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate on BH Monday, 9-4.30pm
The show is a fabulously fun day out for families, especially those with young children. Around every corner you’ll find fun, free activities for children of all ages based around Spring, new life, food and farming and the countryside.
All activities at Springtime Live are FREE, you just need to buy a ticket to get in. Mr Bloom is coming to Springtime Live 2017 with a bunch of fellow gardeners from the allotment. What’s more they’ve brought their instruments with them for a musical party! Mr Bloom and his Band are guaranteed to get Toddlers and their parents alike dancing and singing along to all the musical hits from the TV shows, with plenty of audience banter and participation in between.
