A FAMILY-RUN grounds maintenance and landscaping firm has created jobs after securing new contracts.

Beaumont Grounds Maintenance has taken on two workers to support its growing order book.

The company, based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, has signed a three-year deal with Teesside commercial property practice, Dodds Brown.

It is now looking after 11 Dodds Brown-managed properties across the region, including its flagship site, Hudson Quay, which sits next to Middlesbrough Football Club’s Riverside Stadium and is home to Thirteen Group and Hertel.

The firm has also secured new school maintenance contracts at Thornaby Academy and Our Lady and St Bede’s Catholic School, in Stockton.

The deals mean the company’s workforce has swelled to 15.

Alexander Lineton, managing director, said: “It’s been another exceptional year for us and naturally we’re delighted to win these three major contracts.

“Dodds Brown previously had five different contractors looking after different sites and they wanted to amalgamate it into one.

“It was a competitive tender which we won, so we’re now their grounds maintenance provider for all their properties, and it’s certainly a big feather in the cap for us.”

Beaumont now has more than 150 sites on its books, including a range of public and private sector contracts and more than 50 schools around the North-East.

Mr Lineton added: “We’re still very much family-run and our clients like the fact they can call us and speak to one of the family.

“We’re very responsive and it’s important we keep it that way.”
