WE had a great response to our recent post of old photos of darts players from across County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire, so here are a few more.
Dave Cole, of Darlington, who was pictured being playfully threatened by his wife Marion with a rolling pin got in touch to explain the scenario.
"We were married on Friday 18 March 1988 and the photo was taken a few days later because I played in a darts marathon the day after our wedding," he said. "The Echo thought this was newsworthy and ran a story alongside the photo with the headline 'Cupid fails to stop Dave's arrows'."
