CALLING all aspiring acts – auditions for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent are coming to three North-East locations.

Darlington, Durham and Middlesbrough will host the BGT team as they scout out would-be entertainers to take to the national stage.

Open auditions will be held in Durham Town Hall and Middlesbrough’s Cleveland Shopping Centre, while a special open mic night will be offered in Darlington’s Avalon venue.

Auditions later this week are open to all variety of acts and ages and offer the chance to progress to the next stage in the competition.

Britain’s Got Talent executive producer, Amelia Brown, said: “We’ve had some amazing winners over the last ten series, from this year’s champion Richard Jones, who was the first magician to ever win the show, right through to Paul Potts, Diversity and Collabro.

“Anyone can apply – there is no age limit and we are looking for all kinds of talents, so if you feel you have something special to show us then make sure you apply, you never know where it might take you.”

Auditions in Durham are open between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday, October 23, with the BGT team visiting Middlesbrough between noon and 4pm on Tuesday, October 25.

Avalon, off Blackwellgate, Darlington, will open for its open mic night from 7.30pm on Monday, October 24.

Darlington contestants can email bgtavalon@gmail.com to describe their acts and specific requirements for performances on the night.
