A LARGE amount of jewellery was taken when thieves targeted a village home in North Yorkshire.
The raid took place in Gilling West, near Richmond ten days ago when the thieves broke into a house on the High Street.
They smashed a window of the back door to gain entry and ransacked the living room and an upstairs bedroom before escaping with the jewellery.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward and would particularly like to hear about any suspect people or vehicles seen in the area on the evening of August 24.
