DARLINGTON Building Society has invested in new staff across its branch network.

Four new managers have been appointed with Jayne Tomlinson, Nicki Armstrong, Carl Horsman and Dawn Moore taking the reins at the Cockerton, Guisborough, Barnard Castle and Stockton branches respectively.

Sarah Jefferson and Alexandra Joy have been appointed as customer service consultants at Northallerton and Tubwell Row, Darlington branches respectively.

Darlington Building Society has also reinforced its commitment to enabling local young people to gain valuable work experience and skills. Jonathan Horner, Andrew Richardson, Thomas Parkinson and Corrine Bailey all take on temporary roles at the lender's head office and Izzie Walker has joined the Tubwell Row branch to learn more about the role of customer service consultant.

Colin Fyfe, the chief executive of Darlington Building Society, said: “We are pleased to welcome four new branch managers, who will be ‘the face’ of Darlington Building Society in the towns in which they will work.

Our new customer service consultants also fulfil a valuable role in ensuring our branches offer first class customer service. They will be given every opportunity to become branch managers of the future.

“In addition it is very pleasing to have the chance to assist and develop young people by providing opportunities within the business that will help them to gain knowledge and experience to take forward into their future careers.

“The student placements will work with our core teams across different departments and their enthusiasm and dedication to learning is satisfying to see.”
