A SKILLS provider says it has secured new accreditation to help youngsters into work.

Baltic Training Services, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, has revealed it is delivering Tech Industry Gold apprenticeships, which are employer-designed technology programmes.

It said Tech Industry Gold standards have been set by employers through the Tech Partnership, a collaboration of employers with support from e-skills UK, the sector skills council for business and IT.

Tony Hobbs, Baltic Training Services’ managing director, said: “Tech Industry Gold programmes are a great addition to our offering.

“The fact the course standards are set by the industry means prospective apprentices can be confident what they are learning is really relevant to the workplace.

“Their employers can also be sure their new team members will become productive fast.”
