WHESSOE Oil and Gas, based in Darlington, picked up the Badenoch and Clark Business of the Year trophy at the National Business Awards 2007 on Tuesday.
The company collected the award at a ceremony in London, hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald and attended by 1,200 business leaders. Whessoe specialises in the storage and handling of liquid nitrogen gas, cryogenic gases and petroleum products, and employs 400 staff.
