AN expanding letting agent has revealed plans to take on its first property apprentice.

GFW Letting wants to grow its team in its Newcastle office.

The company, part of property specialist George F White Group, merged with agent Davis Keep in March.

Bosses say its success with its own apprentice scheme has encouraged them to extend it to GFW.

George F White has three apprentices undergoing training, with a fourth now qualified with a permanent position.

Holly Armstrong, GFW director, said: “2014 has been a very exciting year for us.

“We are a growing company and are looking to expand and discover the letting agents of tomorrow.

“It’s an exciting time for lettings in the North-East and as a company we’re experiencing increasing demand for our properties.

“We’re looking for someone who will bring lots of fresh new ideas and energy to our company.”

GFW will take on its apprentice through training and apprenticeship provider Positive Outcomes.

Chris Longmate, Positive Outcomes chief executive, added: “GFW wants a keen, talented and ambitious young person to join its team and we’ll be supporting them in that mission.”
