AN insurance broker has launched an apprentice scheme to find the next generation of workers.
Henderson Insurance Brokers, which has offices in Stockton and Newcastle, is keen to bolster its staff with five young workers.
The company, which has a number of further bases across the UK, wants university leavers and school and college students to apply for graduate and apprenticeship schemes.
Bosses say successful youngsters will work across its different locations, allowing them to gain experience in disciplines such as healthcare, risk management and private wealth.
Emma Simkins, director at Henderson’s Teesside base, said: “These are excellent opportunities to start in the world of insurance broking.
“Applicants will work and gain experience throughout all the divisions in the business in order to determine which discipline is best suited to both the individual and the company.”
In addition to its graduate scheme, the firm also works with the Learning Skills Partnership (LSP), which has resulted in further permanent appointments.
Ms Simkins added: “Apprenticeships are essential in today’s day and age, as they offer valuable experience in the workplace.
“We are very supportive of apprenticeship programmes and giving enthusiastic people the chance to get on the career ladder.”
