A BUSINESS apprentice is feeling the benefits of her hard work after securing a job with a council.
Hannah Burton is working for Redcar and Cleveland Council after completing an advanced business and administration apprenticeship.
The 20-year-old, who studied at Redcar and Cleveland College, is now working as a business support assistant.
She said: “Doing an apprenticeship has given me so many opportunities.
“Both my employers and the college were so supportive, and the course was very relevant to my job in the office.
“Apprenticeships aren’t talked about as much as they should be.
“I loved my time as an apprentice and would encourage everyone to do one.”
Julie Whiteley, the college’s NVQ assessor, tutored Miss Burton during her apprenticeship.
She added: “I’m not surprised Hannah has been taken on permanently.
“She was a star student and had exactly the right attitude.”
