A NEW partnership has been
formed to help the North-East's
biofuels industry become an international
hub for the sector
and achieve its goal of being
worth £1bn to the regional economy
by 2027.
THE Director-General of the CBI
said the Government must not
put prohibitive taxes on industry
if sites such as Wilton on
Teesside are to continue flourishing.
SMALL and medium-sized businesses
in the North-East are to be
given free access to a Government
database of public sector
contract opportunities, giving
them scope to bid for more local
authority work.
A NEW multi-million pound
hotel will open in Durham City
on November 1
The Radisson SAS will have
209 guest rooms, a large restaurant,
a bar, a leisure club with
gym, swimming pool and treatment
rooms, plus a meeting and
events space.
