Next month, Washingtonbased
Cylinder Service Centre
will move from its premises, in
Bentall Business Park, to a purpose-
built 24,00sq ft factory
premises - capable of handling
contracts from around the globe.
The move, which is forecasted
to increase turnover by 60 per
cent to about £2.8m, is also expected
to increase the workforce
by 50 per cent to 48 over the next
five years.

Set up by sole trader Gary
Davidson in 1994, the company
is now one of the UK's largest
specialists in the repair, design
and manufacture of hydraulic
and pneumatic cylinders, and
has global blue-chip customers
from industries including car
manufacturing, shipbuilding
and offshore engineering.
The recently-established
North-East England Investment
Centre (NEEIC) helped with the
move.
NEEIC works assists new businesses
to develop by investing
public funds in companies that
need advice and support.
Mr Davidson was awarded an
investment of £10,000 towards
the consultancy.
