A RECYCLING firm has refused to rule out further expansion after creating jobs and handing out promotions.

J&B Recycling says it has added eight roles to its rota, with three existing workers moving up the ladder.

The promotions have seen Sarah Jennison, who was initially part-time, become a full-time weighbridge supervisor, with Craig Flounders, originally a quality inspector, becoming a quality control supervisor.

Clare Bradley has also expanded her role in customer services and is now working in the quality control aspect of the business.

Vikki Jackson-Smith, managing director, confirmed the company was open to the possibility of taking on more staff.

She added: “We are looking to build upon the success we’ve seen and are identifying areas that could lead to further growth in staff and turnover.”

The company has sites in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough and works with businesses such as supermarket chain Lidl and car parts maker Nifco UK, which is based in Eaglescliffe, near Stockton.

It secured its first recycling contract in 2003 and employs more than 200 staff, with turnover standing in excess of £13m.
