A PREMIER League footballer has received support for his new business venture from a North-East law firm.

Dimi Konstantopoulos, goalkeeper at Middlesbrough Football Club, recently opened a Greek restaurant in the town with his business partner, Nikos Pitsoulis.

The footballer has invested £250,000 in Great Greek, which is based on Linthorpe Road, and has received support from commercial property firm Endeavour Partnership and Anderson Barrowcliff Chartered Accountants.

Endeavour Partnership’s commercial property team has advised the goalkeeper on elements such as the lease and terms for the restaurant, which will create 25 jobs.

Mr Konstantopoulos, who has also played for Hartlepool United, said: “Opening a new restaurant is obviously quite a change of area for me - I couldn’t have done it without a team of exceptionally patient and professional individuals to guide me every step of the way to ensure the restaurant is a great success from the very beginning.”

Natalie Kay from Endeavour Partnership said: “Dimi’s new venture is another addition to Middlesbrough’s vibrant and diverse bar and restaurant scene."

James Dale from Anderson Barrowcliff said: “We have worked with Dimi and Nikos through every step of their journey in turning the idea of a Greek restaurant in reality."
